hiring requirements

All Lincoln Police Department employees are required to have a high school diploma or G.E.D.

Applicants must be United States citizens.

Lincoln Police employees cannot have any felony or domestic assault convictions.  

To be considered for employment at the Lincoln Police Department, you must have a valid driver’s license.

Lincoln Police officers must be 21 years of age or older. Public safety dispatchers must be at least 19 years of age.
